About
I believe that you deserve to spend more time popping open bottles of wine than popping to Insta to check if your content has more than 5 likes yet.
You started your business for more...
Freedom
impact
Income
And not having the consistent clients lining up to work with you in your DM'S and inbox…. OR having clients cancel their contract, asking for discounts or not paying invoices on time..
Whilst trying to figure out the mystery that is the algorithm. And being stuck with high demanding, boundary ignoring… Is the exact opposite of freedom.
I hear you. I get you. And guess what? I’ve been you.
And I’m here to help you take back your freedom and build a business and social media presence that works around your life... not the other way around.
*Cue entrance in my fave sweats, MacBook in one hand and iced latte in the other*
Hey bestie, I’m Emma!
The highly caffeinated social media manager and business mentor for passionate, purpose driven female entrepreneurs just like you!
How it all started…
March 2020… do you remember where you were?
As the sales and events manager for a busy bar in Melbourne, I was briefing staff on an upcoming event we had. If I’m being honest - I wasn't fulfilled, I wasn't energized, and I had fallen out of love with my job.
When all of a sudden on the news, there was an emergency broadcast about the rapidly spreading virus we’d all been told “not to worry about”.
Within a few hours, I had been made redundant with no pay-off, no support from the Australian government and no way to get home.
After a few months of the most hellish lockdown, I finally flew home - without savings, without a career and without a clue what I was going to do next.
Then, in my childhood bedroom, looking desperately for jobs in the middle of a pandemic in a town I hadn’t lived in for 8 years… I made a decision.
I decided that never again would I be in the position where I was of broken spirit, body, mind (and bank balance) all because of the precarious nature of a job I didn’t even like. I decided to push through, start a business and find a way to success and freedom that I never dreamed possible.
After trial and error as a branding biz, I jumped full-force into social media management, business mentorship, and making sure I delivered A* results to my clients.
I looked around at the online space and saw a lot of people over promising and under delivering. Giving out cookie cutter strategies and accepting no responsibility after the cheque had cleared and they had been paid.
So I made a promise to do things differently.
I wanted to dedicate The House of Social to helping fiery female business owners to become the No. 1 choice for their clients by building a social media presence and a business that would last.
In the last three years, I’ve hit 100k followers on Instagram, superseded my previous corporate income, worked with globally recognised brands and became known as the go-to insta bestie. All whilst growing my business with freedom and flexibility.
And just like that! The House of Social (and your new business bestie) was born.
And in 2023 - we grew to become an agency, with an incredible team of passionate and talented creatives, all experts in their field who can’t wait to meet you!
Well…what’s it going to be?
Keep winging it and hope something sticks?
Feel sleazy and awkward basically begging people to buy from you?
Keep googling ‘how to grow on insta” and “how to make sales” until your fingers bleed?
Hmm… let me think - Nope, no thank you and never again!!
Let’s make a pact to be done with all that.
Today.
Right now!
Whether you’re just getting started or are ready to take your biz to the next level…
It’s time to ditch the old school outdated marketing techniques and start showing your ideal audience something REAL.
Because cookie-cutter strategies and copying bigger accounts isn’t getting you to where you wanna go.
Do business, your way.
